Privacy policy.

How Importcommand collects, uses, and protects personal data on this website and in the service.

Last updated: 1 September 2026

1. Who we are

Importcommand ("we", "us") is an import operations management software company based in France. We are the data controller for personal data processed through importcommand.com and, for customer workspaces, the data processor acting on our customers' instructions. Contact: privacy@importcommand.com.

2. Data we collect

  • Website enquiries and pilot requests: name, work email, company, role, and the details you choose to share. Forms on this site open your own email client; the data reaches us only when you send the email.
  • Service data: when a customer uses Importcommand, the workspace contains import records (orders, shipments, documents, partner exchanges, tracking updates, costs) which may include names and contact details of the customer's staff and partners. This data is processed on the customer's behalf.
  • Technical data: server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested, timestamps) kept for security and operation of the site.

3. Why we process it

  • To respond to enquiries and scope pilots (legitimate interest and pre-contractual steps).
  • To provide, secure, and support the service under a customer agreement (contract).
  • To keep the website secure and available (legitimate interest).
  • To meet legal obligations, including accounting and record-keeping.

4. Sharing

We do not sell personal data. We share it only with service providers needed to run the website and the service (hosting, email, support tooling) under data processing terms, with partners a customer explicitly grants scoped access to within its workspace, and with authorities where the law requires.

5. International transfers

We host data in the European Union where possible. Where a provider processes data outside the EU/EEA, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.

6. Retention

Enquiry data is kept for as long as needed to handle the request and for up to three years afterwards unless a customer relationship follows. Service data is retained for the term of the customer agreement and deleted or returned in accordance with it. Server logs are kept for up to twelve months.

7. Your rights

Under the GDPR and French data protection law you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and object to processing based on legitimate interest. Write to privacy@importcommand.com. You may also lodge a complaint with the CNIL (cnil.fr). If your data sits in a customer workspace, please contact that customer first; we will assist them.

8. Security

Access to service data is workspace-scoped and role-based. We apply technical and organisational measures appropriate to the risk, and we review security and data controls with each customer during the pilot.

9. Cookies

See our cookie policy. This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies.

10. Changes

We may update this policy. The date above shows the latest version.
